class jaxrts.instrument_function.TwinGaussian(sigma1: Quantity | None = None, sigma2: Quantity | None = None, fwhm1: Quantity | None = None, fwhm2: Quantity | None = None)[source]

An instrument function of two Gaussians with different width for frequency shifts below and above zero.

Parameters:

  • sigma1 (Quantity, optional) – The parameter sigma, the standard deviation of the gaussian for frequency shifts below 0 Hz. Must be given in units of energy or frequency.

  • fwhm1 (Quantity, optional) – The full width half maximum of the distribution for frequency shifts below 0 Hz.

  • sigma2 (Quantity, optional) – The parameter sigma, the standard deviation of the gaussian for frequency shifts above 0 Hz. Must be given in units of energy or frequency.

  • fwhm2 (Quantity, optional) – The full width half maximum of the distribution for frequency shifts above 0 Hz.

Raises:

  • TypeError if neither sigma1 nor fwhm1 are given. –

  • TypeError if neither sigma2 nor fwhm2 are given. –
